Four BHHS basketball players selected for All-Star Team

 Four Brookings-Harbor High School basketball players, including seniors Nick Corpening, Tyler Wood and Brianna Juarez and sophomore Mallory McDonald, were selected to play in the 3rd Annual South Coast High School All Star Basketball Series.

The athletes, chosen from among the 11 public schools between Brookings-Harbor High School and Siuslaw High School in Florence, were selected for their season of dedication to basketball.

The All Stars from the 11 schools have been divided into four teams, red and blue teams for both girls and boys.

 

 The players will travel to Coos Bay on Saturday, March 17 for a 1 p.m. barbecue banquet in their honor before meeting with their coaches and teammates for a short practice.

The girls game will start at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the boys game at 6:30 p.m.

Other local athletes joining the four Bruins will be seniors McKenzie Litterell and Katie Moore and sophomores Garrett Litterell and Dustin Carter of Gold Beach High School.

Admittance is $4 for the game and $5 to join the athletes at the barbecue banquet.
