Beneath the Surface: Diver shares peek of ocean off Harris Beach

Brookings resident Russell Ralls is often seen donning diving gear at Harris Beach to explore the underwater world.

Ralls said he walks out from the beach and swims past the surf before diving underwater. He brings along his compact underwater camera to take pictures.

During the dive he photographs schools of fish (above), a white-line dirona, a type of nudibranch (left), white-plumed anemone (below right) and an assortment of colorful plant life (below left).
