Fight, 12:21 p.m.: 16000 block of Kings Way. 

Theft, 4:51 p.m.: A woman reported her backpack was stolen while she was watching the parade. 

Illegal dumping, 4:59 p.m.: A citizen reported people dumping yard clippings on a vacant lot next to his house in the 500 block of Fern Street. 

Disorderly conduct, 5:08 p.m.: Chetco River bridge. 

Fight, 5:51 p.m.: 900 block of Marina Heights Road. 

Found property, 10:11 p.m.: A car key was found at the Port of Brookings Harbor. 

Assault, 10:32 p.m.: Gold Beach. 


Sunday, May 30

Minor in possession of liquor, 2:10 a.m.: A man partying at Miller Bar reported people in a maroon van stole some beer and other items and left downriver. Brookings police located and stopped the suspect vehicle in the 16400 block of Highway 101.]. An 18-year-old passenger was cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Burglary, 10:14 a.m.: Police received a report of a window at the Harbor Post Office had been kicked in. 

Burglary, 12:03 p.m.: A woman reported a car clouting at Pelican Beach near the Winchuck River. 

Assist public, 1:03 p.m.: A man reported marijuana pipes being sold at a vending booth at the Azalea Festival street fair. Since they were unused, there was no violation.

Shots fired, 2:41 p.m.:  99400 block of Winchuck River Road. 

Theft, 4:41 p.m.: A woman reported her wallet stolen out of her car parked outside the Elks Lodge. 

Theft, 5:34 p.m.: A male  transient was observed stealing from a campsite at Harris Beach. The witness followed and kept the culprit in sight until the police arrived and identified him. The transient was told not to return.

Intoxicated subject, 7:14 p.m.: A citizen reported a man and a woman standing next to him were yelling at passing cars in the 16200 block of Highway 101.

Fight, 9:05 p.m.: 700 block of Pioneer Road. 

Criminal mischief, 9:27 p.m.: 500 block of Spruce Street. 

Found property,  9:47 p.m.: 800 block of Elk Drive. 

Fight, 10:25 p.m.: 300 block of Railroad Street. 

Juvenile problem, 11:02 p.m.: Police received a report of teenagers hiding in the bushes along Mill Beach Road, then jumping out into the street as a car passed. 

Littering, 11:26 p.m.: 1200 block of Ransom Avenue.
