Joseph Francisco Cyrus, 20, Grants Pass, was convicted by default May 17 of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was ordered to pay $1,000. He also failed to appear on charges of theft and criminal trespass and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Andrea Lee McGrath, 20, Grants Pass, failed to appear May 17 for arraignment on a failure to appear citation. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

John K. Olsen, 41, Gold Beach, was convicted May 17 of a wildlife law violation. He was ordered to pay $75.

Kirby Allen Stidham, 35, Brookings, was convicted May 17 of criminal trespass. He was placed on 12 months’ probation and ordered to pay $702.

Brandie Lee Wright, 32, Gold Beach, was convicted May 17 of one count of first-degree theft and three of second-degree theft. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail, 36 months’ probation and to pay $142 plus $18,000 restitution and $3,000 compensatory fine on the first-degree conviction; 36 months’ probation and to pay $202 on each of the other three convictions, plus five days in jail on the first, 10 days on the second and 15 days on the third, with all jail time to be served consecutively.

Joanna A. Zemaitis, 36, Gold Beach, was convicted May 17 of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. She was ordered to pay $1,045.

Timothy Cordal Niccum, 45, Harbor, was sentenced May 18 on his earlier conviction for first-degree theft. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 18 months’ probation and to pay $142, plus restitution to be determined within 90 days.

John Everett Vankampen II, was convicted May 18 of identity theft. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, 100 hours of community service, 18 months’ probation and to pay $535 plus restitution to be determined within 90 days.

Phillip Thomas Wonsyld, 56, Brookings, was convicted May 18 of driving under the influence of intoxicants, criminal mischief and resisting arrest. For the DUII, he was placed on 12 months’ diversion and ordered to pay $458. For criminal mischief, he was placed on 24 months’ probation and ordered to pay $452 plus $52 restitution to Brookings Police Department. For resisting arrest, he was sentenced to 10 days in jail, 24 months’ probation and to pay $885.

Deborah Jean Edwards, 48, Gold Beach, was convicted May 19 of theft. Sentencing was set for June 4.

Randy Joseph Gallardo, 25, Brookings, was convicted May 19 of probation violation. His probation was revoked and he was sentenced to 105 days in jail.

Cherawana Newell, 19, Brookings, was convicted May 19 of theft. She was sentenced to 40 hours of community service, 12 months’ probation and to pay $602.

Joseph Anthony Vecchetti, 22, Brookings, on May 19 had a theft charge dismissed.

Timothy Don Rossiter, 52, Brookings, was convicted May 19 of failure to perform duties of a driver. He was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, 24 months’ probation and to pay $135.

Scott Alan Winfield, 39, Brookings, was convicted May 19 of criminal trespass and probation violation. His probation was revoked and he was sentenced to 150 days in jail, for the trespass, he was ordered to pay $95.

Jacob Joshua Hall, 32, Crescent City, Calif., failed to appear May 20 for a hearing on further proceedings. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Timothy John Pathway, 31, Port Orford, was convicted May 20 of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and to pay $107 plus $5.25 restitution.

Troy L. Wescott, 44, Eureka, Calif., was convicted May 20 of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, 36 months’ probation and to pay $1,550 plus $200 compensatory fine to Brookings Police Department.

Bobbi Jo Smith, 28, North Bend, was convicted May 20 of possession of methamphetamine, supplying contraband, failure to appear on a criminal citation and false liability insurance information to police. For the false information, she was sentenced to 24 months’ probation and to pay $352; for failure to appear, 20 days in jail, 24 months’ probation and to pay $752; for meth, 10 days in jail consecutive to the FTA, 18 months’ probation and to pay $642; and for contraband, 20 days consecutive with the failure to appear but concurrent with the meth sentence, and to pay $642.

Shane Michael Ortiz, 38, Harbor, was convicted May 21 of contempt of court. He was sentenced to three days in jail, 24 months’ probation and to pay $600.
