Monday, Nov. 9 Suspicious conditions, 12:45 a.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. Assault, 7:47 a.m.: 16300 block of Highway 101. Fight, 12:59 p.m.: 17600 block of Rainbow Rock Road. Fight, 1:02 p.m.: 200 block of Wharf Street. Traffic crash, no injury, 4:23 p.m.: 500 block of Pacific Street. Traffic crash, no injury, 4:25 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. Harassment, 6:34 p.m.: A woman, who was walking with her infant son, came upon a group of four transient males who began harassing and yelling obscene remarks at her in the 300 block of Fifth Street. Criminal trespass, 7:38 p.m.: 200 block of Marine Drive. Criminal trespass, 7:59 p.m.: The same four transient males who were causing problems in the 300 block of Fifth Street were asked to leave a business, but refused. Harassment, 8:46 p.m.: Police received a report of four male transients harassing people at the post office. Intoxicated subject, 9:20 p.m.: 600 block of Easy Street. Suspicious conditions, 10:43 p.m.: 200 block of Fifth Street. Suspicious conditions, 11:26 p.m.: Juveniles were warned for curfew violation in the 400 block of Fir Street.
Tuesday Nov. 10 Suspicious conditions, 9 a.m.: Police checked on a report of four people sleeping in a vehicle by the Pacific Bridges School on Fern Street. They said they were waiting for a friend. Threats, 2:09 p.m.: A disgruntled female customer threatened to come back with a gun to shoot everyone at Chetco Trader. Suspicious conditions, 2:41 p.m.: Highway 101 and Center Street. Lost property, 2:43 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. Fraud, 3:01 p.m.: A Brookings woman received a fraudulent letter telling her that she’d won a contest. Fire, 4:56 p.m.: The fire chief reported an unattended controlled burn that needed to be extinguished on East Harris Heights Road. Assault, 8:21 p.m.: Railroad Street. Traffic crash, no injury, 9:05 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Wednesday, Nov. 11 Juvenile problem, 8:42 a.m.: 600 block of Chetco Avenue. Forgery, 12:56 p.m.: A business in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue called police on a 13-year-old boy making a purchase with a credit card that had a female name on it. The mother was contacted and said she had given her permission. Fight, 6:22 p.m.: 500 block of Spruce Street. Suspicious conditions, 11:55 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. |
