Criminal mischief, 8:33 a.m.: Someone drew a comic skull and cross bones on the outside wall in chalk. 400 block Hillside Avenue. Juvenile problem, 2:18 p.m.: 1100 block Ransom Avenue. Suspicious conditions, 4:42 p.m.: Report of two men getting out of a pickup truck with rifles. Suspect they were poaching deer. North Bank Chetco River Road. Missing person, 7:23 p.m.: A group of campers reported they hadn’t seen or heard from one of their party in some time. A general attempt to locate was put out in both Curry and Del Norte Counties. Loud noise, 8:20 p.m.: A man reported hearing an explosion. No source was found. Curfew violation, 11:32 p.m.: 600 block Railroad Street. Sunday, Oct. 25 Curfew violation, 12:15 a.m.: 600 block Fifth Street. Violation of city ordinance, 12:33 a.m.: In the day use only area of Azalea Park. Suspicious conditions, 12:47 a.m.: Brookings-Harbor High School Track. Criminal trespass, 4:54 a.m.: Lady reported a woman she didn’t know, just walked into her house through the unlocked front door. Police gave the intruder, who was high intoxicated, a ride to her home. Suspicious conditions, 6:25 a.m.: Man reported people walking around a trailer park. He was worried they might be breaking into cars. Site unknown. Dispute, 3:07 p.m.: A verbal disagreement between neighbors over one party’s children’s conduct. Heron Ridge. Fight, 3:30 p.m.: 98100 block Olsen Lane. Illegal camping, 5:48 p.m.: Man reported people camping on the beach, which is under Coos Forest jurisdiction and is not illegal. Macklyn Cove. Assault, 10:37 p.m.: A 31-year-old Brookings man was arrested for domestic violence. 400 block Redwood Street. Monday, Oct. 26 Criminal mischief, 3:30 p.m.: Once again someone moved the construction cones so they blocked off the northbound lanes of Chetco Avenue. Chetco Avenue/Constitution Way. Theft, 10:35 a.m.: A man shoplifted a hoodie sweatshirt and drove off in a white sedan. 600 block Railroad Avenue. Traffic crash, no injury, 10:59 a.m.: 500 block Fifth Street. Theft, 12:33 p.m.: 500 block Pacific Avenue. Traffic crash, no injury, 100 block Benham Lane. Fight, 2:43 p.m.: Hemlock Street. Burglary, 2:54 p.m.: Storage shed break-in. 200 block King Street. Tuesday, Oct. 27 Suspicious conditions, 12:12 a.m.: Lady reported a vehicle pulled into her driveway, then backed out again. 800 block Old county Road.
