Monday, Oct. 5

Suspicious conditions, 5:05 a.m.: Police received a report of a transient sleeping in the alley behind apartments in the 600 block Chetco Avenue.

Suspicious conditions 5:17 a.m.: A woman reported someone walking on a path behind her residence in the 1400 block Seacrest Lane shined a flashlight in her window.

Fire, 9:22 a.m.: Harbor Fire Department responded to a grass fire on Oceanview Drive.

Assist Public, 2:59 p.m.: A woman in the 17700 block Indian Head Road called for assistance after the ladder she used to climb on her roof fell, stranding her on the roof.

Lost property, 3:08 p.m.: A trifold wallet was lost in the Brookings area.

Hit and run, 3:13 p.m.: 300 block Fifth Street.

Harassment, 4:02 p.m.: Brookings area.

Fire, 6:37 p.m.: A woman reported seeing a lot of smoke coming from the mill on Carpenterville Road. Mill officials reported no problem.

Fight, 8:51 p.m.: 800 block Fawn Drive.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

Runaway, 7:18 a.m.: 900 block Timberline Drive.

Lost property, 10:08 a.m.: A wallet was lost, but later located in the Brookings area.

Shots fired, 11:04 a.m.: A woman reported a neighbor shot and killed a deer in her yard in the 97600 block  Marina Heights Loop. The incident was reported to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Criminal mischief, 11:07 a.m.: A man in the 800 block Pioneer Road reported someone put water in the gas tank of his car.

Traffic crash, 11:48 a.m.: A non-injury accident was reported at Chetco Avenue and Fifth Street.

Hit and Run, 12:35 p.m.: 600 block Chetco Avenue.

Hit and Run, 2:45 p.m.: 500 block Chetco Avenue.

Violation of city ordinance, 3:59 p.m.: A person violated the rules at the skate park at Bud Cross Park.

Minor in possession of tobacco, 5:30 p.m.: 600 block Old County Road.

Violation of city ordinance, 10:14 p.m.: A person was in  the Azalea Park parking lot after hours.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

Criminal mischief, 2:41 a.m.: Vandals moved the traffic cones at the Constitution Way construction zone at North Bank Chetco Road.

Suspicious conditions, 2:47 a.m.: 15500 block Lily Field Lane.

Illegal camping, 8:24 a.m.: Transients camping under the bridge along Bridge Street.

Harassment, 11:35 p.m.: 1100 block Chetco Avenue.

Fire, 12:32 p.m.: A vehicle fire was reported seven miles up North Bank Chetco River Road.

Fire, 2 p.m.:A call turned out to be controlled burn in the 15700 block West Benham Lane.

Theft, 4:43 p.m.: Firearms were stolen from a residence on Midland Way.

Forgery/fraud,bad check, 3:30 p.m.: A 13-year-old boy tried to use his mother’s credit card at an ATM in the 300 block Chetco Avenue. The mother didn’t know he had taken the card.

Lost property, 3:41 p.m.: A wallet lost at South Coast Center.

Hazard/safety/traffic, 7:21 p.m.:Broken glass was in roadway in the 15600 block Highway 101.

Prowler, 8:26 p.m.: Police received reports of a possible prowler in the 700 block Fourth Street.

Thursday, Oct. 8

DUII, 1:40 a.m.:1100 block Chetco Avenue.

Suspicious conditions, 1:44 a.m.: 700 block of Clair Lane.

Suspicious conditions, 3 a.m.: 300 block Memory Lane.

Theft, 8:42 a.m.: 900 block of Chetco Avenue.
