Monday, Sept. 21 Suspicious conditions, 2:04 a.m.: 98200 block of South Bank Chetco River Road. Traffic crash, injury 8:50 a.m.: Smith River area. Criminal mischief, 10:29 a.m.: 900 block of Wharf Street Fire, 11:36 a.m.: Lone Ranch Beach. Shots fired, 12:04 p.m.: Passley Road area. Bike/skateboard complaint, 1:01 p.m.: 1100 block of Ransom Avenue. Illegal burn, 2:48 p.m.: King Street. Fight 3:23 p.m.: Azalea Middle School. Found property 3:28 p.m.: A license plate was found Chetco Avenue and Fifth Street. Criminal mischief, 5:02 p.m.: Wharf Street. Theft, 6:55 p.m.: A boys bicycle was found in the 200 block of Cypress Street. Fire, 7:09 p.m.: Lone Ranch Beach. Fight, 7:42 p.m.: 16200 block of Ivy Lane. Fight, 9:06 p.m.: Police return to scene of a previous fight at 16200 block of Ivy Lane. Fight, 10:12 p.m.: 16200 block of Hallway Road.
Tuesday, Sept. 22 Water problem, 5:43 a.m: Police received a report of flooding from a water main break in the 300 block of Spruce Drive. Public Works responded to fix the problem. Driving complaint, 7:46 a.m.: A school bus driver reported a vehicle passed at a high rate of speed, crossing over the double yellow line, on Pioneer Road. Criminal mischief, 8:11 a.m.: Graffiti was reported on a solar panel at Azalea Park. Hit and run, 9:11 a.m.: 900 block of Chetco Avenue. Lost property, 10:21 a.m.: A cell phone was lost somewhere in the 400 block of Mill Beach Road. Suspicious conditions, 11:11 a.m.: KidTown at Azalea Park. Suspicious conditions, 2:46 p.m.: Bones found on Harris Beach by two hikers were identified as those of an aquatic animal of some type. Criminal trespass, 3:34 p.m.: 98000 block of Olsen Lane. Loud noise, 6:25 p.m.: 900 block of Easy Street. Warrant service, 8:02 p.m.: 800 block of Easy Street. Explosion, 11:57 p.m.: Police received numerous calls reporting a loud explosion followed by the electricity going out. The problem was a transformer which tripped several fuses. Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative responded.
Wednesday, Sept. 23 Suspicious conditions, 3:12 a.m.: A transient was reported looking into the windows of a motorhome parked on a lot. 900 block of Chetco Avenue. Fight, 9:20 a.m.: 98000 block of East Hoffeldt Lane. Criminal mischief, 11:35 a.m.: Graffiti was sprayed on a pickup truck in the 800 block of Chetco Point Terrace. Criminal mischief, 11:36 a.m.: A window was broken by a BB gun or rock in the 800 block of Midland Way. Criminal mischief, 11:39 a.m.: Damage to a brick fence was reported in the 900 block of Helen Lane. Driving complaint, 3:25 p.m.: A citizen complained of a vehicle consistently failing to stop at the stop sign at Oak Street and Pacific Avenue. Water main break, 5:23 p.m.: Public works was called to repair a water main in the 400 block of Azalea Park Road. Suspicious conditions, 6:50 p.m.: A man was observed throwing a bicycle into the bushes in the 800 block of Julie Drive and leaving in a car. Driving complaint, 7:04 p.m.: A motorcyclist was reported driving recklessly in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue. Water main break, 8:35 p.m.: A water main was repaired by public works at Maple and Alder streets. Suspicious conditions, 9:38 p.m.: A man heard what sounded like a shotgun blast on Cypress Street. Suspicious conditions, 10:33 p.m.: Brookings-Harbor High School near flagpole. Loud noise, 11:09 p.m.: Police received a complaint of someone in the area running a very loud power saw. It was found to be public works working on the water line break on Maple Street. Loud music complaint, 11:54 p.m.: Matot Street.
