Lost property, 11:37 a.m.: Lost or stolen keys from the Brookings-Harbor School District is being investigated. Dispute, 12:03 p.m.: A mostly verbal argument inside a parked vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Fifth Street. Assist public, 2:26 p.m.: A man who was dismissed from work for alcohol consumption came to police department for a breath test to prove his innocence. Theft, 3:21 p.m.: The theft of a cell phone was reported at Harris Beach State Park campground. Kidnapping, 5:01 p.m.: Police are investigating a report of a 36-year-old woman who claimed she had been kidnapped in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave. Traffic crash, 5:27 p.m.: A fender bender was reported at Oak Street Medical Center. Lost property, 6:04 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. Prowler, 9:52 p.m.: Two kids were knocking on the door, then running away at Hassett Street and Midland Way. Suspicious conditions, 9:59 p.m.: The report of an unattended baby in a vehicle in the 600 block of Chetco Avenue turned out to be a lifelike doll.
Saturday, Feb. 28 DUII, 1:01 a.m.: A 50-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants on Constitution Way. Violation restraining order, 8:21 a.m.: 500 Pine Street. Hazard, 10:38 a.m.: Chetco River bridge. Dispute, 10:14 p.m.: 98100 block of North Bank Road. Criminal mischief, 11:37 p.m.: A party turned into a fight at Arnold Lane and Fifield Street. Intoxicated people, 11:57 p.m.: Police received a report of two intoxicated females yelling in the 600 block of Old County Road.
Sunday, March 1 Dispute, 12:36 a.m.: 1200 block of Chetco Avenue. Harassment, 10:37 a.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. Suspicious conditions, 11:16 a.m.: Suspicious items on the roadway at Fifth and Easy streets turned out to be a dresser drawer that fell off a vehicle. Misuse of 911, 1:46 p.m.: south county. Fight, 4:06 p.m.: Neighbors were concerned about a couple fighting in the 800 block of Old County Road. Criminal mischief, 6:20 p.m.: A neighbor dented neighbor’s car in the 1100 block of Fifield Street. Dispute, 11:02 p.m.: A family argument was reported in the 17200 block of Rustic Lane. Tree down, 11:31 p.m.: Old County Road and Constitution Way.
