The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society recently announced that Brian D. Larsen has been named administrator of Curry Good Samaritan Center effective July 17.

Larsen will be replacing Marcia Bouwman, current administrator.

Larsen will be transferring to Brookings from Waconia, Minn., where he is completing an administrative internship.

A native of Tower, Minn., Larsen earned a bachelors degree in management and sociology from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. He also completed course work for licensure as a long-term care administrator at Mankato State University and St. Cloud University, officials said.

Larsen joined the Good Samaritan Society on Nov. 1 as an administrator-in-training at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center. He also completed an interim assignment at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in St. James, Minn.

Prior to joining the society, Larsen worked as a program supervisor for an organization that serves children with developmental disabilities. His employment background also includes positions in the insurance industry. While completing administrative licensure requirements, he also worked as a certified nursing assistant, officials said.
