Evelyn Landeraaen

Evelyn Landeraaen, 78, Glasgow, Mont., died Dec. 13, 2000, of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 6, 1922, on the family farm in Plymouth, Iowa, to Albin and Clara Kuntz Hoydar.

She spent her early years on the farm. After the sale of the farm, she moved west with her parents and two sisters eventually settling in Oakland, Calif.

Mrs. Landeraaen worked many years at a downtown department store and enjoyed trips to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Hawaii with her friends.

She married Andor Landeraaen Sept. 7, 1955, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Oakland.

She was married for 44 years and worked some of those years as an administrative assistant for a nursing home in Hayward, Calif. She devoted the rest of her time to her family and friends.

She enjoyed gardening, baking, camping, trips to Reno, Nev., and being a grandmother to her grandchildren and her friends children.

After her retirement, she traveled from California to Oregon where she and her husband enjoyed the ocean and family visits in the summer.

She recently moved to Glasgow, Mont., where she and her husband could be closer to their children and their grandchildren.

Survivors are her husband Andor Landeraaen, Glasgow; daughter Nadeend and husband Christ Flohr; son Pastor Paul and wife Valerie Landeraaen; grandchildren Morgan and Hannah, Scobey, Mont.; sisters Shirley Washam, Brookings; Claral Kellogg and family, Auburn, Calif.

Also surviving are four nephews of Oregon and California, and many friends.

A memorial service was held Dec. 16 at First Lutheran Church in Glasgow. Pastor Mark Koonz officiated.

Honorary pall bearers were Tom and Jon Washam, Cal Kellogg Jr., Eric Kellogg, Mark Tighe and Kevin McPherson.

Arrangements were under the direction of Bell Mortuary in Montana.
