Band combines electronic dance music with Gypsy jazz


Good Co. performs for a Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness Concert Feb. 10.

The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA) presents Good Co., the first electro-swing band in the U.S., at 7:30 p.m. Saturday Feb. 10.

The genre blends today’s electronic dance music with Gypsy jazz guitar riffs, harmonica jams and a horn section that evokes the era of speakeasies and jitterbugging flappers.

Good Co. performances frequently include onstage dance parties and crowd singalongs so attendees should not expect to sit still at the show, according to DNACA.

The concert is at Crescent Elk Auditorium at 994 G St. in Crescent City. Doors opening at 6:45 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for general

Tickets are $18 for general admission, $15 for seniors 65 and older and youth 18 to 25, and $12 for students in kindergarten through college.
