The 29th annual Christmas opening of the historic Hughes House at Cape Blanco State Park in Sixes is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The house will also be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday through Thursday, Dec. 26 through 28, The theme is “The Nativity.” Homemade cookies and hot-spiced cider will be available. Santa will be in the gazebo from 6 to 9 p.m. and will make his final visit Sunday, Dec. 24. The event is open nightly, except during severe weather, through Dec. 31. General admission is $2.
