Who is this group called “Indivisible 97415?” This word — indivisible — brings to mind our Pledge of Allegiance … “Under God, indivisible ...”

Sounds like a good-feeling word. But wait — let’s go to the homepage of www.indivisible.org. Shall we go down the rabbit hole? The mission statement reads, “Our mission is to fuel a progressive grassroots network of local groups to resist the Trump Agenda.

The Indivisible group was founded by two ex-Democratic staffers. You can download their 26-page Community Organizing Plan entitled Indivisible: A practical guide for resisting the Trump Agenda ... www.indivisibleguide.org.

At the end of www.indivisible.org it states: “Indivisible is a project of the Advocacy Fund.” What is the Advocacy Fund? The www.advocacyfund.org states it is a California nonprofit public-benefit organization that supports political advocacy programs that promote social justice, education and a sustainable environment.

On page 11 it states the Advocacy Fund receives monies from the Tides Foundation and the Tides Center. Who funds these two organizations? Who else but George Soros, the prince of darkness. Soros recently moved $18 billion to his Open Society Foundation to funnel money to more than 200 leftist, anti-American groups listed on www.clothesline.com.

The question begs, why is our Brookings City Councilman Dennis Triglia a member of the Indivisible group? You can see his face and comment regarding Indivisible on Facebook.

The rabbit hole has descended intåo the swamp.

Address concerns

The Constitution of the United States of America Article I Section 3 Paragraph 6 states: “The Senate shall have the sole power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present.”

In my opinion, the current president of our country, who is elected to defend and protect the entire union and its entire population, has made some questionable moves that have put our country in harm’s way. I believe he needs to be called in front of the senate to explain himself and his actions, and to perhaps have impeachment proceedings started.

If there are others who feel as I do, you can address those concerns to your senators. Be specific and accurate about any particular questionable act you feel the president has taken.

Never knew

Wow. Until I read the letter by Tracy Rupp (Pilot, Dec. 6) I had no idea I was a fool who, along with millions of other fools, are responsible for just about every single problem in society today.

I didn’t realize we were responsible for the demise of democracy, for all poverty, for the incarcerated and have routinely shot ourselves in the foot every time we’ve voted. I didn’t know that the GOP only had to “…wave the flag and pump the cross…” to get my vote.

Wow. I never knew.

What I do know is that the elections of Nov. 8, 2016 are over and maybe it’s time for liberals to get over it and move on.

It’s the Christmas season and maybe we can all try a little harder to put away all the hate and just get along.

Please think about this, good people and good citizens: As a concerned citizen, I am more than just a little bit worried about how the existing investigations in both houses, as well as the Muller investigation might be derailed, diverted, subverted or even downright sabotaged by witnesses who might consider that their non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and loyalty oaths with Trump supersede their duty as loyal Americans to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

That would be a crime — quite literally. Trump’s bodyguard, communications director, press secretary and other loyalists might try to avoid telling all that they know by claiming they are bound and beholden to Trump for their livelihoods because they signed an NDA with him. Going further with this extrapolation, many could even fear they are subject to blackmail or some other form of public humiliation or retaliation if they tell the truth.

Let’s be real: He has done that in the past and will stop at nothing to protect himself; that’s why he insists on NDAs in the first place, with everyone in his circle.

I just ask us to think of the potential ramifications to us, personally, and to our country and our freedoms as human beings, equal under the law and under God.

Uranium facts

Concerning the letter by Joe Thomas (Dec. 13): Mr. Thomas, just because you say it, doesn’t make it true.

Now here are the real facts: One of the ways to disprove your theory on Hillary Clinton and the Russian uranium deal:

•Attributing a power of veto or approval to Secretary Clinton that she simply did not have. Clinton was one of nine cabinet members and department heads that sat on the Committee on Forest Investments in the United States (CFIUS) and the secretary of Treasury is its chairperson.

•CFIUS members are collectively charged with evaluating proposed foreign acquisitions for potential national issues, then turning over their findings to the president.

•By law they can’t veto a transaction; only the president can.

All nine federal agencies were required to approve the Uranium One transaction before it could go forward. There was no evidence uranium went to Russia; it went to Canada and Europe; this was also under national security regulations.

Isn’t it wonderful we have these checks and balances in place? That is what makes our country so great. Jose Fernandez (whose job it was to represent the state department on CFIUS), said Hillary Clinton never intervened in the committee matters.

The Clinton Foundation did receive a $145 million donation of which $131 million came from a single donor, Frank Giustra, Canadian founder, but sold its entire stake in the company in 2007, three years before the Russian deal and at least 18 months before Hillary Clinton became secretary of state.
