The Latin and West African-channeled group John Welsh Band — which blends surf rock, folk and reggae in order to bring world music to a mainstream audience — performs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30.
The concert is part of the Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness’ (DNACA) 35th Performance Series.
The band performs in both English and Spanish. Their live shows emphasize crowd participation, rhythms and singalong choruses.
The show is at Crescent Elk Auditorium at 994 G St. in Crescent City. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
Tickets are $18 for general admission, $15 for seniors 65 and older and youth ages 18 to 25, and $12 for students.
Season tickets still provide a discount to attend the four remaining performances in the series and are transferable and replaceable if lost. Season tickets are $70 for general admission, $55 for seniors, $45 for students and $160 for family passes.
