Today’s (Aug. 12) Second Saturday Art Walk — from 3 to 6 p.m. — is about as diverse as a Brookings art event can get.

For example, featured artists at two venues, Manley and 7Times 7D Gallery, aren’t painters but artist photographers.

In addition, Wright’s hasn’t arranged just one demonstration for that afternoon but two — a kelp-art making by Sherry Griffin and a street art by Brandon Bower.

Plus, there are two special events at Manley Art Center — an interview with photographer Heidi Jenkin and book signings by Angela Ewing and Georgia Cockerham.

Other venues have paintings, sculptures and other art, live music and free refreshments.

Those who miss the activities can see an after-Art Walk report with photos at www.wildriverscoastart.com.
