Children open musical on Harbor stage

Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” a musical production adapted from a story by the brothers Grimm.

The youth production, directed by Tiffany VanMaren and co-directed by Adelina Willis, opens Friday, Feb. 2, at the Chetco Grange Community Center at 97895 Shopping Center Avenue in Harbor.

The story has all the familiar fairy-tale characters plus a few new ones, including Princess Snow White, the prince, the evil queen and, of course, the seven mischievous dwarfs – Sarge, Gabby, Gloomy Gus, Ticklish, Spritely, Snore, and Slowpoke. Show times are 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 2, 3, 9, and 10, and Sundays, Feb. 4 and 11.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. Children younger than 4 are free. Tickets are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings, New Wave Video in Harbor and online through Brown Paper Tickets at m.bpt.me/event/3225369.
