Dentist Brice Chang treats a patient during Volunteer Day at Brookings Dental Arts.

Dentist Brice Chang and his crew at Brookings Dental Arts provided about $7,000 in free dental work during its annual Volunteer Day Nov. 2

“We helped 24 patients, and the work completed included extractions, fillings, exams and x-rays,” Chang said.

When people do not have dental insurance or the money to pay for dental work, they can suffer in silence as their dental problems worsen, Chang said.

“I have seen dental issues ruin people’s quality of life,” he said. “Our annual Volunteer Day helps people take charge of their dental health.”

The Volunteer Day was open to residents of Brookings, Gold Beach and Crescent City. The goal, Chang said, was to help as many people as possible who had the most urgent needs.

To date, Brookings Dental Arts has provided $24,000 worth of free dental work through its annual Volunteer Day.
