The Harlem Crowns basketball team is bringing their special brand of entertainment to the Brookings-Harbor area at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, at the Brookings-Harbor High School gymnasium.

"We call it Clownball," says Crowns manager Herb Scaife on the team's website. Their combination of set gags, comic routines and showmanship have been entertaining fans around the world.

The Crowns will take on a mixed team comprised of school district staff including BHHS basketball coaches Buell Gonzalez and Chris Schofield; members of local police and fire departments; and players from both BHHS Bruins and Lady Bruins basketball teams.

There will also be a pre-game event where Azalea Middle School seventh and eighth graders will play a mixed teams game beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $9 at the BHHS front office or at State Farm Insurance located at 401 Hillside Avenue in Brookings. You can also purchase tickets for $10 at the gymnasium ticket booth on Tuesday before the game.
