Bruins shut out 0-45 by Pirates

The Brookings-Harbor High School football team couldn't get the ball past the 50-yard line in the first half of the pre-season opener against the Pirates of Phoenix High School as they lost 0-45.

While the Bruins couldn't advance the ball offensively, the Pirates were able to score one touchdown per quarter in the first half to go up by 13 before heading into the locker room.

The second half didn't fare any better for the Bruins as they were outscored 32-0 in the second half to lose.

The Bruins scored one touchdown on a 55-yard run by Trent Bevan but it was called back on a penalty.

The Bruins travel to Hidden Valley on Friday.
