Mini-camp a success

Almost twenty football fanatics took over the Gibney Center on the Brookings-Harbor High School campus the past week for a mini-camp hosted by the BHHS football team and its coach Eric Sullivan.

"It's been going really well," Sullivan said. "The kids are having a lot of fun."

According to Sullivan he started the camp with a structure and then turned it over to the high school players.

"I've tried to give the older kids some freedom so they can run it and they've really taken it as their own and done good."

According to camp attendees Braiden Spencer, Rutland Bates and Ogden Badger they learned a lot of "awesome stuff," including some "juke moves, how to catch and warm-ups."

"I've had a lot of fun," Badger said. "We've learned a lot, pretty much."

For counselor Alec Darger the camp has been fulfilling.

"It's really been fun," he said. "I like watching the kids have a great time. Even though they think they're just having fun, they are learning something in the drills."
