In their first contest of the year, the Brookings-Harbor High School golf team captured third place out of 12 teams with a score of 339 at the Eagle Point Invitational on Tuesday.
The Bruins picked up where they left off last season, which was the most successful golf season in BHHS history.
Last year, the Bruins took first place in the Far West League and finished ninth at the state tournament, the first time BHHS has ever reached state.
With all of their members returning from last year's historic season, the Bruins are looking to continue their success this year.
On Tuesday, Chad Patton led the Bruins with a 76, followed by Brian Wiggins with an 82.
David Wiggins shot a 90 on the day, closely followed by Ryan McCormick's 91 and Zyan Silver's 94.
The Bruins traveled to Myrtle Creek Friday for a preseason match against Glide.
Results were unavailable at press time.
