Four different Bruins scored Thursday afternoon as the Brookings-Harbor High School JV boys' soccer team overwhelmed the North Bend Bulldogs in a 5-0 victory.

The Bruins took the lead just five minutes into the game as Brock Bristow capitalized on a one-on-one chance with the goalie and blasted it by him for the goal.

David Wiggins tallied the second Bruin goal as he took a throw-in from Dylan Roberts and finessed a shot with the outside of his foot that just squeezed inbetween the goalie and the post for a 2-0 lead.

Later in the first half, Wiggins took a powerful shot on goal that the Bulldog goalkeeper was able to deflect, but Roberts was right there to clean up the rebound and found the back of the net to increase the Bruin lead to 3-0.

The Bruin offense was quiet for the majority of the second half until Roberts notched his second goal of the game as he stopped, turned and put one into the bottom corner.

With less than a minute left to play, Anthony Babb put the final tally on the board for the Bruins off a picture-perfect cross from Roberts to seal the game with a 5-0 victory.

Chris Haglund and Tyler Frazer combined to record the shutout for the Bruins.

The next game for the Bruins will be on Tuesday Oct. 2 at South Umpqua at 3 p.m.
