In their third event of the year, the Brookings-Harbor High School golf team took first place at the second Far West League match of the year at the Coos Country Club in Coos Bay Monday afternoon.

The Bruins won their third event in as many tries this season with a one-stroke victory over rival North Bend.

Junior Jed Warren led the team with a match-low 79 as the Bruins shot a team score of 341, just barely edging out North Bend, which finished the day at 342.

In their first league match of the year, the Bruins blew away the competition at the Umpqua Resort in Sutherlin as they shot an incredible team score of 317 - the lowest score in program history.

The Bruins will host their only home match of the year on Monday, April 14, at Salmon Run Golf Course. Tee time will be at 11 a.m.
