Peter Frank Carfi, 95, passed away Jan. 14, 2013, at a local care facility in Brookings.

Peter was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Detroit, to Fred and Mary (Fontana) Carfi.

He married Maryon Viola Nichols June 3, 1941, in Carson, Nev.

Peter was also an accomplished musician, playing piano for the residents of Macklyn House where he lived for the last four years. He was known there as "Pete the Piano Man." He was loved and wonderfully cared for at Macklyn House.
