Nadine Crowder Hyatt

The Curry Coastal Pilot

Former Brookings resident Nadine (Crowder) Hyatt, daughter of Atlas Overstreet Crowder and Orpha Lena Roark, lost her battle to congestive heart failure Nov. 16, 2012, in Roseburg.

She was born in American Falls, Idaho, on June 19, 1924.

Nadine was the devoted wife of Franklin R. Hyatt R.Ph., whom she married in Dec., 1943, in Pocatello, Idaho.

After Frank completed his Registered Pharmacist degree, he and Nadine moved to Salem and began raising their family. They relocated to Brookings, where they opened Frank's Pharmacy in 1955.

In 1972, they sold the store and moved to Sutherlin. Nadine was the proud mother of four children: Janis (Philip), Gary (Sue), TK (Bill), and Debbie (Steve); grandmother to six: Corben, Vanessa, Abe, Jed, Sara and Becky; great-grandmother to Olivia.

Nadine always found time to laugh, dance with Frank across the living-room floor to the beat of big band era tunes, and make welcome friends and family in the Hyatt home. What fond memories she has given her family, all filled with her love.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Roseburg Bridgewood Rivers staff for their loving care for the past five years.

At Nadine's request no service is planned.
