Sharon Hoppe-Bullis, 65, Brookings, died Friday, July 13, 2012, in a traffic accident near Grants Pass.

She was born June 24, 1947, at Berkeley, Calif., to Joseph James and Eleanor Fitzsimmons. She graduated from high school in North Hollywood, Calif.

She married Carl Hoppe on July 3, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nev. The couple moved to Brookings 35 years ago.

She worked for a time at McDonald's restaurant of Brookings and then for 18 years at Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts.

In March 2011, she married Judson Bullis of Brookings.

Survivors include her daughter, Tamie Berg of Colorado, and her husband Brett, son James and daughter Eliana; her son, Todd Hoppe, and wife Britt, and sons Isaac and Kyle, all of Murrieta, Calif.; two brothers, Michael Fitzsimmons and his wife Kathy, of Moro Bay, Calif., and Patrick Fitzsimmons and his wife Madeline, of Wilderville, and their children Rocky and Jewell; and her nephew James Fitzsimmons.

A gathering in her memory will be held at noon Saturday, July 21, at Loeb State Park along the Chetco River. Please carpool if you can.
