Gerald ‘Jerry’ LaRue

Charles Kocher, Pilot staff writer

Jan., 21, 1929-April 12, 2012

Jerry LaRue, 83, of Brookings, passed away in Eugene after a series of strokes.

He is survived by his four daughters Linda, Carol, Sharon, Barbie and

their families. Jerry also leaves behind the love of his life Bonnie

Romines, of Brookings; her children Debbie, Reggie, Sherrie and their

families.

God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be,

So he put his arms around him and whispered "Come with Me,"

With tear-filled eyes we watched him suffer and fade away.

Although we loved him deeply, we could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best!

Per Jerry's wishes, no service will be held. His last wish will be

honored by family and close friends. Jerry's ashes will float to sea

from one of the many rivers that were such an integral part of his life.

Submitted by the family.
