An artist of many media, Glenna Jo was sharp of wit and quick to laugh. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, music and reading. Throughout her life, her passion always returned to the theater. Much of her last few years were spent working with the Brookings-Harbor Community Theater, where she designed costumes and props and loved acting and being on stage.
Most recently, she participated in a production of "My Fair Lady," and she especially enjoyed designing costumes for and acting in "Lady Pirates of the Caribbean" with her granddaughter Eden. Glenna was a talented seamstress and craftsman and loved making quilts for all of her grandchildren. She passed on her love of the holidays andndash; especially Halloween and Christmas andndash; to her children and grandchildren.
She had eight siblings: Norma Starbard of Brookings, Ralph Giddings of Washington, Rodney Giddings of Brookings, Judith Giddings Sparks of Brookings, and her beloved sister Deanna Sue Schnepp of Smith River, who survive her. She is also survived by her four children: Alan McSwain, Patrick McSwain, Angela McSwain and William Craig; and by nine grandchildren: Forrest, Jessie, Portia, Max, Roxanne, Eden, Logan, Allison and Thomas.
Her parents Julian Delbert and Edna Teters Giddings, her brothers Robert, Richard, and Dean Giddings, and her grandson Dean Giddings preceded her in death.
