Glenn H. Greeson, 61, Brookings, died Aug. 2, 2000, at a Medford hospital.

He was born Aug. 6, 1938, in Pomona, Calif., to Herman Greeson and Margaret (Durlin) Greeson.

He was raised and educated in Pomona, Calif.

After graduating from high school, he married Gailya Biship on Oct. 7, 1956, in Modesto, Calif. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving on various Air Force bases.

After his discharge, he and his wife moved to Modesto, Calif., in 1964.

He was employed by the Modesto Fire Department until 1973 because of health reasons. He then worked for the Federated Firefighters in Sacramento from 1974 to 1976.

Mr. Greeson was then employed by Modesto area hospitals as a respiratory therapist until his retirement.

He and his wife moved to Brookings in August 1991.

He enjoyed walking, traveling, reading and computers. He continued his education throughout his life.

Survivors are his wife Gay Greeson, Brookings; son Daniel Greeson, Brookings; brother Rev. Ronald Greeson, Springfield, Ill.; daughter and son-in-law Robin and Danny Dean, Manteca, Calif.

Also surviving are five grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for today (Aug. 9) at 1 p.m. at Scantlins Brookings Chapel, 2 Ross Road.
