Odis R. Gadberry

Odis R. Gadberry, 81, Brookings, died Aug. 12, 2001, in Brookings.

He was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Shirley, Ark., to Roy and Johne Gadberry. He moved to Brookings in May 1950 from Kelso, Wash.

He was married to Marian L. Mary Gadberry.

He served in the U.S. Air Force Jan. 10, 1942-Oct. 4, 1945. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, Air Medal and Victory Medal.

Survivors include son, Jim Gadberry of Pendleton; daughter, Linda Woodward of Newberg; brother, George Gadberry of Washington, and sister Mona Casore of Louisiana.

Also surviving are three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Marian Gadberry.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. at Ward Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Jim Lamb will officiate.
