David D. Moore, 62, Brookings, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, in Brookings.

He was born July 30, 1939, in Portland to Gerald and Freeda (Young) Moore.

He married Linda Haselwood Nov. 6, 1987.

He was a truck driver who enjoyed fishing, hunting and model trains. He loved his community and was a reserve deputy sheriff and a lifeguard. He was a member of the Brookings-Harbor Christian Church. He rode horses at the fair with the Sheriffs Mounties. He was once given an award from the city for service as a graduate of Brookings-Harbor High School. From age 5 to 12, he sang on the Stars of Tomorrow radio show.

He is survived by his wife; children, Kyle Moore of Eugene; Troy Moore of Klamath Falls; Ryan Moore of Eugene; and Angela Moore of Brookings. Also surviving are six grandchildren.

A funeral service was Jan. 21 and graveside service was Jan. 22.

Arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel.
