Barbara B. Davis, 91, Brookings, died Feb. 16, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Davis was born Sept. 11, 1910, in Clarkston, Wash.
She married Orvil E. Davis July 6, 1937. They made their home in Portland until 1953, then moved to Klamath, Calif.
They moved to Smith River in 1955.
Mrs. Davis and her husband moved to Brookings in 1959 where they were original shareholders in the Brookings Plywood Plant.
Mrs. Davis worked part-time at Palmers Variety Store (now Sports Unlimited), and in food preparation for Brookings-Harbor schools.
She was a long-time member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Harbor where she was head of the prayer chain.
Survivors include daughters, Wilda Henry of Avon Park, Fla.; Phyllis Watson of Grants Pass; Karen Bailey of Oakridge; Pam Huddler of Crescent City; nieces, Barbara Jean Embrey of Clovis, Calif.; and Annetta Steadman of Turner. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband in 1973.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 15786 Highway 101.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel.
