Lamar D. Gulbransen

Lamar D. Gulbransen, 77, of Harbor died Sept. 18, 2002, at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City.

He was born March 10, 1925, in Wales, Utah.

He served in World War II in the United States Army. He spent 55 years in the labor movement, retiring as the Regional Committee on Political Education (COPE) director with the A.F.L.-C.I.O.

He and his wife Jeanne F. Gulbransen retired to Harbor in 1990.

Survivors include his sister, Carol; children Michael, Martin and Ann; grandchildren, Craig, Jeremy and Jennifer.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.

The family request remembrances be made to the South Coast Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
