Expect lane closures north of Harris Beach

ODOT and prime contractor Legacy Contracting plan to begin construction on the Harris Beach Multiuse Path project this week.

According to the contractor's latest schedule, there will be a continuation of lane closures with flaggers today (July 16) for the placement of temporary barriers. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures the next week and a half.

Starting Monday, Legacy plans to begin driving pile south of Dawson Road along the west side of U.S. 101. This will be a noisy process that will take several weeks. All pile-driving will be done during daylight hours, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. U.S. 101 will be limited to a single-lane of traffic for most of August. Flaggers will provide traffic control.

The city will provide more information as it becomes available.
