Concert-goers will receive an extra treat during the upcoming spring concerts of the Curry-Del Norte Orchestra.

The Brookings concert is at 7 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1200 Easy St.
Admission for all concerts is $10 for adults. Youth through grade 12 are admitted free. Ticket outlets include Gold Beach Books in Gold Beach, Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City, and Wright's Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings. Tickets are also available at the door of each concert.
John Webster, director of the Curry-Del Norte Orchestra, has selected an array of orchestral selections for this spring's program - from "An American in Paris" by George Gershwin to "Spring Song, Op. 16" by Jean Sibelius. The Crescent City Preparatory and Azalea Middle School Orchestras will play with the orchestra for "Air and Caprice" by John Edmondson and "American Folk Trilogy" by Anne McGinty.
The Wild Rivers Coast is rich in musical talent, Webster said, and a part of the Curry-Del Norte Orchestra Guild's mission is to keep nurturing and growing that talent by supporting musical education programs in our communities and schools.
The Crescent City Preparatory and Azalea Middle School orchestras provide opportunities for elementary through intermediate students of violin, viola, cello, and bass to begin learning the fundamentals of ensemble playing and gain their first orchestral experience.
The Crescent City Preparatory Orchestra, directed by Jenna Barvitski, welcomes beginning to intermediate students of all ages - from youth through adult. To learn more about the program, contact Barvitsi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Curry-Del Norte Orchestra is composed of Northern California and Southern Oregon musicians who volunteer their time and is a nonprofit organization sponsored by the Curry/Del Norte Orchestra Guild, associate members, and Southwestern Oregon Community College. It is also supported by donations from individuals.
