The National Weather Service has issued a special statement warning of very cold temperatures on the Curry County coast this week. That means overnight temperatures below freezing for several days andndash; and maybe even some snow andndash; all the way down to the beach.
Overnight temperatures are expected to be in the mid-20s starting overnight Monday, and continuing through Thursday morning.
"Travelers should be prepared for light snow early Tuesday, especially if heading inland," says the statement. Temperatures are expected to be very cold starting Tuesday night through the rest of the week.

"By Tuesday morning, it may be cold enough to see light snow in the coastal mountains and perhaps even some patchy snow accumulations at sea level."
