Fred Meyer donates $2,000 to KASPER

The Fred Meyer Fund, Fred Meyer's corporate foundation, donated nearly $2,000 to KASPER in November as an early Christmas gift.

Fred Meyer manager Matt Galli and personnel director Donna Hoeft presented KASPER representatives Carolyn Milliman, Darryn Ballance and Tiffany Hicks with a check Monday.

KASPER is the Kids' After School Program of Education and Recreation.

It is a nonprofit organization that provides a summer day camp for Brookings-Harbor students in grades one through six, according to a handout on the organization.

The money was collected from the end of January through the middle of May when Fred Meyer customers and associates dropped their change in coin boxes located at checkstands.
