PORT ORFORD andndash; Riding a wave of community support, the fifth annual Port Orford Water Festival is promising to provide activities for all on Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14.

The festival will begin at 6 p.m. Friday with a keynote address by Oregon's First Lady Cylvia Hayes at Driftwood Elementary School. She will be addressing "The Importance of Coastal Communities in the Clean Economy."

On Saturday, the festival will focus on children. Twenty-one agencies and organizations will be hosting the interactive environmental education activities portion of the festival from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Port Orford Community Building.

Throughout the day, students in kindergarten through eighth grade will have chances to earn raffle tickets and win prizes such as a bike, fishing pole, and free passes to the West Coast Game Park Safari.

For the adults, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, along with other state and local groups, will be hosting a "Tsunami and Marine Debris Workshop" from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Port Orford American Legion Hall.
