The Curry Coastal Pilot

The annual Stuff the Bus campaign to collect donations of school supplies for Brookings-Harbor students begins Monday, Aug 22.

The campaign andndash; sponsored by Chetco Federal Credit Union and KURY Radio andndash; involves CFCU parking its two Dollar Dog buses at different locations from 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. unless otherwise posted. There people may stuff the either bus with their donated school supplies.

Each day a different organization will sponsor the event, as will a group of volunteers to collect the donations.

At each location, a list of supplies will be available. The list will also be available at the schools.

The locations, sponsors and volunteers are as follows:

Monday, Aug. 22

andbull;Chetco Federal Credit Union, 729 Chetco Ave., Brookings.

andbull;Chetco Federal Credit Union, 16147 Highway 101, Harbor. CFCU is sponsoring the day and providing volunteers at both locations.

Tuesday, Aug. 23

andbull;Dollar Tree, 16261 Highway 101, Harbor; Curry Health Network sponsors.

andbull;Rite Aid, 16261 Highway 101, Harbor; Blue Water Cafe sponsors. Brookings-Harbor Lions Club will provide sponsors at both locations.

Wednesday, Aug. 24

andbull;Shop Smart, 97900 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor.

andbull;Ray's Food Place, 906 Chetco Ave., Brookings. CandK Markets is sponsoring and Vietnam Veterans of American members will volunteer at both locations.

Thursday, Aug. 25

andbull;Fred Meyer, 325 Fifth St., Brookings; Fred Meyer sponsors and Shriners volunteer.

andbull;McDonald's, 815 Chetco Ave., Brookings; McDonald's sponsors and volunteers are from Daryn Farmer State Farm Insurance. The bus will be at this location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 26

andbull;Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts, 890 Chetco Ave., Brookings; Chetco Pharmacy sponsors and Soroptimist International of Brookings volunteers. The bus will be at this location from 9 a.m. to noon.

andbull;Fred Meyer, 325 Fifth St., Brookings; Fred Meyer sponsors and Marine Corps League will volunteer.
