CRESCENT CITY, Calif. andndash; The 130th annual Del Norte County Fair has been the talk of the town on the streets of Brookings and on Internet social sites.
The fair, which opened Thursday and has been drawing crowd each day, continues from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today (Aug. 7) and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds on Highway 101 at Cooper Avenue.
The theme for this year's fair is "It's a Party on the Beach." The event will features rides by Paul Maurer Shows, which also furnished rides at last weekends Curry County Fair, as well as exhibits, food booths and entertainment.
Admission is $7 for general, $3 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and younger. On Sunday, the fair is offering a special pass costing $14 for up to two adults and three children younger than 18.
