A memorial service was held Tuesday for Brookings couple Dorothy and Edward Hoenshell who were found shot to death at their Fourth Street home April 9.

Meanwhile, the investigation into their murder continues. No new information was being released by the Curry County District Attorneys office on Tuesday.

District Attorney Charlie Steak was unavailable for comment Tuesday.

Autopsy results released Friday confirmed that the Hoenshells died of gunshot wounds.

No charges have been filed and no prime suspect has been named yet. Gregory Hoenshell, 21, the couple's grandson, was listed as person of interest, Steak said last week.

Hoenshell is currently being detained in the Del Norte County Jail on five Del Norte County warrants unrelated to the murder, authorities said.
