Brookings-Harbor High School soccer player Linden Loren has an additional award to add to his already impressive stack for the 2008 season.
Loren was named to the Oregonian 2008 4A all-state boys soccer team. He was selected as a first-team midfeilder.
The 4A Far West League had already designated Loren as the Most Valueable Player for 2008, in addition to its first team all-league honors.
Loren helped lead the Bruins to a 10-1 record in 2008 and the Far West title.
"He did a great job for the team," said Head Coach Gabriel Anaya. "I'm very happy for him."
Anaya said Loren was essential to the Bruins' success in 2008.
"He always puts in 100 percent," he said. "He was one of our top-three scorers even though he played a lot of midfield and missed three games."
To Anaya, the knowledge that he's losing Loren who will graduate at the end of the year is difficult to bear. But as he said, having him as a player was a great experience.
"We're all very proud of him," he said.
