|Gold Beach team competes at Bandon Small Schools Meet|

Gold Beach freshman Kaitlin Armstrong won the 400-meter race and finished second in the 3000-meter final.
The Gold Beach track and field team was represented well at this past Saturday’s Bandon Small Schools track meet at Bandon High School.
The meet, composed of 1A, 2A and 3A teams, hosted athletes from schools such as Coquille, Riddle and Pacific in a seven-team meet.
Several Gold Beach athletes continue to impress. Lincoln Newdall finished second in the shot put and fifth in the discus. He has finished in the top five in both events in each of the three meets Gold Beach has competed in this season. Distance runner Kaitlin Armstrong won the 400-meter race and finished second in the 3000-meter final; and thrower Kassi Lisenberry placed in the top-10 in the shot put, javelin and discus.
