The BHHS girls soccer and volleyball teams traveled to South Umpqua for a day of competition that ended with very different results. Crystal Rodriguez, Brianna Juarez, Hannah Baron, Molly Joyce and Hannah Goergen all scored – Rodriguez twice – in the Lady Bruins 6-0 victory over the winless Lady Lancers. Louie Deraita and Karlie Gonzales both had two assists in the game.
The Bruin volleyball team lost to the Lancers in four games: 22-25, 17-25, 25-21, 19-25. “We didn’t communicate,” Head Coach Lori Cooper said of the loss. “This is a team we should have beat – we let one slip away.” Christy Reynolds had 10 kills, Whitney Floyd had eight kills and two blocks, Lakota Hatcher had three kills, five aces and 10 assists, Kayla Webre had four aces and Cayleen Wiley had two kills and 15 digs. |
