“I think we were riding a little high on our last win,” Head Coach Sam Greenlee said. “We were at home and got a little comfortable and we’re just weren’t on. We weren’t gelling as a team during warm-ups.”
The Lady Bruins kept it close in the first game despite opening the game down 3-9. They were able to claw their way back into the game but lost 24-26 in the overtime game.
The second and third games were pure domination from the Warriors as the Bruins lost 16-25 in the second game 11-25 in the third.
“Now we just have to focus and believe in ourselves,” Maddie Bentley said. “We have the want, now we just need to win.”
The Bruins will travel to Crescent City today to complete the home-and-home series against the Warriors. The varsity game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
