Scott Graves (Editor in Chief)
Scott Graves is editor-and-chief of the Curry Coastal Pilot and has been the editor since 2000. He began his journalism career in Southern California, where he worked as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, The Los Angeles Daily News and the Ventura County Star. He traded fame and fortune in the big city for a simpler, more satisfying life with his family on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast. His goal is to provide the Pilot’s loyal readers with a compelling, hyper-local community newspaper. When’s he’s not spending time with his family, he can be found surfing, hiking or playing the drums. He also volunteers for a nonprofit community theater and a nonprofit music organization.
