DUII, 12:11 p.m.: A 24-year-old Smith River man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants on Highway 101 near the Chetco River bridge.
Monday, Jan. 16
Non-injury crash, 7:20 a.m.: A 64-year-old woman from Sixes lost control of her car on ice on Highway 101 just north of Humbug Mountain. Her car struck a guardrail then spun onto the shoulder.
Non-injury crash, 8:45 a.m.: A 41-year-old Coos Bay man lost control of his pickup on ice on the Euchre Creek Bridge on Highway 101. His pickup struck the guardrail on the east side of the highway and came to a stop in the southbound lane.
Non-injury crash, 9:40 a.m.: A 32-year-old Port Orford woman lost control of her SUV on ice on Highway 101 south of Denmark. Her car struck a reflector post before coming to a stop. When she attempted to move her vehicle off the roadway, she slid into a mailbox, destroying it.
Non-injury crash, 1:55 p.m.: A 22-year-old Brookings woman lost control of her car on an icy roadway on Highway 101 south of Arizona Beach. Her car struck a telephone cable box, a reflector post and then a dirt embankment before coming to a rest.
Tuesday, Jan. 17
Non-injury crash, 10:05 a.m.: A 32-year-old Brookings man driving a pickup pulling a trailer pulled out of a business on Highway 101 near Benham Lane and failed to see a southbound car driven by a 74-year-old Brookings man. The car struck the trailer. The driver of the pickup was cited for failure to yield.
Saturday, Jan. 21
Injury crash, 6:35 a.m.: A 20-year-old Port Orford woman who was driving while drowsy left the roadway, struck a guardrail and ended up in the ditch on Highway 101 south of Denmark. She was transported to Southern Coos General Hospital in Bandon with minor injuries. She was cited for careless driving.
