Wednesday, Dec. 7 False information, 8:05 p.m.: A 21-year-old Brookings driver was pulled over for speeding on Highway 101 near 80 Acres Road. She presented an expired insurance card and claimed her policy was current. Records showed her insurance expired two months ago. She denied knowing she did not have insurance. She was cited for violation of basic rule, driving without insurance and giving false information about insurance. Her car was impounded. Friday, Dec. 9 Warrant, 5:50 p.m.: A 45-year-old transient was arrested for a Salem Municipal Court warrant after he was reported walking in the roadway on Highway 101 between House Rock and Whaleshead Creek. Monday, Dec. 12 Probation violation, 12:10 a.m.: A bartender called police regarding a customer who was being disorderly and refused to leave. After escorting the 26-year-old Portland man out of the building, the trooper learned that the man, who was visibly intoxicated, was on probation with a no-alcohol clause. A local good Samaritan gave the man a ride to a hotel where he was staying. DUII, 5:55 p.m.: A 67-year-old Brookings man was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants on Highway 101 between Hoffeldt and Benham lanes.
