Friday, March 18

DWS, 2:10 p.m.: A vehicle driven by a 43-year-old man from Atascadero, Calif., was stopped for speeding. It was found there was a warrant for his arrest from Jackson County. The man was booked into the Curry County Jail. The car was released to his passenger.

 

Saturday, March 19

Traffic crash, 8:50 p.m. A 44-year-old man from West Linn was traveling southbound on Highway 101 near Deer Park Drive when he lost control on an icy roadway. Both the driver and his 16-year-old passenger from Bandon declined transport to the hospital.

 

Sunday, March 20

DUII, 1:54 a.m.: A 67-year-old Beaverton man was cited and released on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop on Highway 101 near the Chetco River bridge.

 

Sunday, March 27

Traffic crash, 8:56 p.m.: A 68-year-old man from Gold Beach was driving northbound on Highway 101 when he came upon hail and an icy roadway near China Creek. The driver lost control, hit an embankment and overturned. Neither he nor his 67- and 63-year-old passengers were injured. The vehicle hit an embankment, overturned and came to rest in the northbound lane.

 

Tuesday, March 29

DUII, 12:45 p.m.: A 20-year-old Brookings man was cited and released on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants on Payne Road in Harbor.

Traffic crash, 1:55 p.m.: A 28-year-old Crescent City man reported an oncoming car crossed the center line and he had no options but to take evasive action. His car left the roadway and struck a tree near the south Port Orford city limits. The driver was not injured, but was cited for driving with a suspended license.
